ABOUT ME

My obsession with audio started from very early on. My father collected records and speaker systems. We always had music playing in the house: The Beatles, David Bowie, Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran.. I learned how to wire speakers when I was 10 and started to play music a few years later. Photography was my gateway into live music. I made friends with musicians who were in local bands, and they would bring me to shows to shoot photographs, sell merch, help load equipment… anything I could do to be invovled.

I started writing my own songs in highschool and learned to record and overdub tracks that I would share with some friends. I kept recording songs and I got a bit of attention online, amassing over a million streams on SoundCloud. I went to school for Professional Golf Management and I dropped out in my final year because I couldn’t stop studying music theory and recording techniques independently.

I worked in the golf industry for well over a decade. I worked at some of the top private golf courses in the country. I obtained my Canadian Professional Golf Association membership and taught golf lessons and coached golf camps. In my last few years in the golf industry, I landed a job at a bar that had live music every night of the week. I ended up being the live sound engineer along with serving and bartending. This re-ignited my passion for sound and gave me the idea to save up and go back to school for Audio Production.

Then Covid happened… I lost my jobs at the golf course and bar. I took it as a sign to go back to school… I graduated honours in 2022 at Harris Institute for Audio Production. During my time at the school, I picked up some work as a music composer for a couple online advertisements, I directed some music videos, and produced live performance content for musicians.

Once I graduated, I started working full time in Audio Post Production for a few years. I worked on some broadcast TV shows such as Son Of A Critch and Hudson & Rex. I hosted remote/in person playback sessions for clients, scheduled and engineered ADR sessions, fixed QC issues with mixes, Mixed international versions, prepped and delivered final audio deliverables and served as lead technical support for all A/V systems for Mixers, Editors and Engineers.

Due to a downturn in the audio post industry, I was laid off in March 2024 and am currently looking for my next new exciting role in the world of Audio.
